Over the last few weeks, the STRAB leadership has closely followed the progress of COVID-19 and thoroughly evaluated the impact it might have on the festival.
Now more than ever our main concern is our social responsibility and the safety and health of all the parties involved including festival goers, bands and the local community in Mozambique.
The latest measures that the South African and Mozambican governments have put in place to contain COVID-19 regarding border closures and limiting numbers of social gatherings have also made it impossible for us to safely make a prediction of the timeline in which these restriction will be lifted.
Keeping this in mind we made the decision that STRAB will be postponed until the latter half of 2020.
The new festival dates will be communicated to all festival goers after consultation with Mozambique stakeholders. It is important to note that all current STRAB bookings will be honored for the rescheduled STRAB dates.
STRAB is a festival of the people for the people and we look forward to having an amazing time with all of you later this year.
In the meantime we urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocol put forth by health and safety regulations.
Thank you for your understanding and patience in this time and we hope to see you soon amidst more amazing music vibes and wonderful friends by the tranquility of the magical ocean at #STRAB2020
Stay safe!
The STRAB team
