STRAB 2023 is ready and waiting to be experienced from 24 – 28 May. As this is 20 years after the 1st birthday bash of our Scuba school, that went on to become the STRAB festival, it is quite a special year for us with unbelievable memories spanning this period. Our band lineup as usual will reflect our style and there will be a healthy mix between your favorites and exciting new blood.
Next step now is to buy your tickets on 1 March at 12:00 noon!
You will see that the website has a new look and feel. Ensure that you click on “Bookings” in the top right hand corner to register and book you tickets.
For all the 1st timers, you can book everything to do with STRAB on the booking system. We are constantly adjusting the downloadable STRAB user guide as we get new updated information.
For those of you planning to take the traditional route via Durban or Pongola and entering at Kosi Bay, you can still park your car just before the border and we will arrange border pickups and drop-offs for you on the Mozambique side of the border.
The Komatipoort option is now equally popular. Although more toll gates to budget for, this road is in an excellent condition from Gauteng right up to Ponta do Ouro. If you need safe parking in Ponta do Ouro and arrange for your Malongane pick up there, drop andries@strab.co.za an email and we will organise safe parking for you.
Covid restrictions have been lifted in Mozambique, so no certificates / border testing or curfews anymore. The authorities have also scratched the R250 payable when you get your import permit for your car on the Mozambique side.
